I recently read in Isaiah 52:7,
“How beautiful upon
the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace,
who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns.”
I’ve always loved this verse and the imagery it uses to
remind us of how important it is to share God’s Word with the World. Not just
on foreign missions trips, but across the street, in our families, with our
neighbors, schools and jobs. When the Gospel is proclaim right, it brings happiness,
joy and celebration.
That is my prayer this week as we walk in the footsteps of
the Haitian people, that our joy and love for Jesus will shine radiantly and be
a blessing to all we come in contact with. That they will say, “Your God
reigns!”
Travel Day 1
Tonight, I write for a hotel room in Miami. This afternoon
we left Cleveland and headed to Minneapolis in order to catch a connection to
Miami. We literally had 30 minutes to get from C23 to G12. Praise God for
bringing a really nice local lady who told us about a short cut and we made it
with a few minutes to spare.
While we were in line, we noticed that a young lady was
wearing the IMF t-shirt we got for our trips. And sure enough, the volleyball
team from Boise, Idaho was on our flight. We will be serving with them this
week, helping with volleyball camps and other ministries. I’m looking forward
to seeing how God uses sports and evangelism this year.
After arriving safely in Miami we grabbed a shuttle and
arrived safely at the hotel. Guess what Annie? This hotel has doors on the
outside. The rooms are nice and we are grabbing some sleep before heading to
the airport at 6am. We will be in Haiti before lunch time tomorrow.
Thanks for praying for travels and ministry. Please keep
praying as we learn to trust the Holy Spirit for our strength and joy.
Until tomorrow, God bless,
